Join On Location to learn with and from educators across the country. These immersive 1.5-day visits offer an opportunity to take in, share back, and make sense of the work as we strengthen our learner-centered designs and practices together. Registration closes Monday, January 18.

Experience Verdi EcoSchool
Discover how an independent K-12 microschool on an urban farm uses place-based, project-based learning to turn the community into the classroom. Since opening in 2016, Verdi has taken learning beyond four walls, connecting young people to local partners, the natural environment, and working deeply with families and neighbors. Learners flow through “discovery teams” of different ages, learning through hands-on experiences rooted in their community.
During this visit, you will:
- Observe mixed-age learning
- Engage in community partnerships and internships in the neighborhood
- Experience hands-on learning through gardening, cooking, and projects

Travel & Lodging
Arrival: Arrive in Melbourne, Florida anytime on Tuesday, January 26, 2027. The site visit begins early Wednesday morning and wraps up by 12:00pm CT on Thursday, January 28.
Hotel: Radisson Suite Hotel Oceanfront (3101 N Hwy A1A in Melbourne) - $206. You will pay for the hotel directly when you check-in. You will pay for the hotel directly when you check-in.
Do not book your own hotel. If you need lodging, Education Reimagined will reserve your room for you. After you complete payment, you’ll receive a short logistics survey to confirm your lodging, dietary, and accessibility needs.
Frequently Asked Questions
How many people can join from my team?
Up to three people per organization may join On Location at Verdi EcoSchool., a microschool.
If your team needs a full scholarship, we ask that you limit full scholarships to two team members per visit. Individuals may receive support for up to two On Location visits between October 2026 and April 2027.
Can I earn a Certificate of Participation for my professional development?
Yes! A certificate can be downloaded here. A signed certificate can be provided after the visit, upon request.
What is the cancellation policy?
If your plans change, your registration fee is fully refundable if you cancel at least five business days before the event. Cancellations within five days of the event will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
